Please note; the reception opens at 07:30 Monday to Friday for enquiries and prescription collection - appointments may not be available for booking at this time.
Our automated telephone booking option is no longer available. Please register for our on-line access which will enable you to book, cancel, check and change appointments at any time of the day or night.
For further information please contact the surgery on one of the above telephone numbers.
We have appointments available to book in advance: for up-to 4 weeks.
We also have appointments available to book on the same day for urgent problems. We do our best to try to give them to patients who are in genuine need of being seen on the same day.
The reception/triage team is fully trained and is there to help you. Please remember that they can only offer you what is available.
Please note the doctor only has 10 minutes per patient and can only deal with one issue during this appointment.
Our reception team now use a system of "care navigation". This requires that they ask you to give them some information about your need for an appointment/phone call/home visit. The information is NOT used by them to make a clinical decision but in order to offer you the most appropriate service - which may not be a consultation with a doctor, but might be with a pharmacist, physiotherapist, nurse or administrator. They do NOT make any decisions about medical treatment, just who is the best person to deal with your query.
Some patients prefer to consult with a doctor on the phone and so we also offer the opportunity for you to speak to a doctor on the telephone. This service is usually available before 11:00. Please tell the receptionist if you would prefer a telephone consultation.
We also have a range of pre-bookable telephone appointments - i.e. you will be booked into an appointment slot and the doctor will ring you at the time that's been arranged.
Our appointments telephone line is open from 08:00 until 18:00 Monday to Friday. At the busiest times (i.e. from 08:00 – 10:00) we have three receptionists taking calls for bookings but if the matter is routine you should ring after 10:00. We offer late appointments on 2 evenings a week until 20:00. Alternatively you can use our automated telephone booking service which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or you can register for our on-line services which will enable you to book appointments on-line.
When asking for an appointment, you may request any doctor of your choice. It may not always be possible for you to see a particular doctor at a time of your choosing but we will offer you the next available appointment with that doctor.
Some of our doctors have additional languages and can speak Tamil, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, German and French. Please ask the receptionist if you require a consultation in any of the languages above.
If you find you are unable to attend a pre-booked appointment please let us know. We have 3 options for you to cancel. We have a 24/7 automated cancellation service - telephone the surgery number and listen to the options; when we text you a reminder you can type CANCEL and send it to the number on the text; telephone and speak to the receptionist.
If you fail to cancel booked appointments and do not attend on three occasions you will be sent a letter informing you of our intention to remove you from our list should this happen again. Remember, as well as the 24 hour a day, 7 days a week telephone cancellation service, you can also register for our on-line services. Click here for more information.
